Who would’ve guessed we’d be back here?
Not me.
Not one bit.
Boy, do we have things to catch up on!
I can start by saying I’ve been going thru it. It’s not all negative. I’m not going to start back blogging by being a Debbie downer. It’s just amazing the journeys life takes you thru! The lessons to change your perspective, the people you lose along the way, and the constant reminders that if you don’t take care of yourself, your body will force you to.
I genuinely missed this space though. I know things came to an abrupt stop if you followed my journey from growthnotgossip.com (my second love) and if you’ve been around since reallyjayyoh.com (my first love) YOU A REAL ONE!
2025 was another eye-opening year for me and in 2026 I choose to get back to the things that brought me joy. My joy comes first. At this point joy is an act of resilience and rebellion, because there’s so much negativity in the world right now that it can feel like we’ve been defeated. Shoot, I could be starting my blog back up and BOOM the powers that be take our internet. Sigh.
And still, I write.
And still, I find joy in my journey.
And still, I choose to share freely because I have so much love to give.
Here’s to navigating healing, love, and travel. Here’s to taking up space in this world. Here’s to getting back to ourselves.
I wanted to start blogging again because it was something I’ve always enjoyed. I could literally sit here and write ya’ll novels of my life experiences. My boyfriend (yes ya’ll she got a man now) always tells me that I’ve lived many lives. Boy, have I! But isn’t that the point? We’re supposed to experience new things and step outside our comfort zones. Life was designed to stretch us and have us actually reach for our goals.
Speaking of goals, I think another take from why I stopped is because I was laser-focused on the income aspect of blogging. Like yes, I do enjoy writing, but years ago when I started, I was trying to get that bag to get out of manual labor.
Especially since I was waitressing at the time. Survival mode will have you trying to monetize everything, looking for a check, instead of enjoying your process. Manifesting out of lack instead of abundance.
I did get out of waitressing! I’m now a licensed life insurance agent that works remote which took away the pressure of monetizing my hobbies.
Yes, this could generate income, but it’s not my focus.
Blogging now feels like a hug not a business. My focus is to share my experiences, my healing journey and my travels in faith that we’ll have an online community filled with love and kindness based on shared experiences.
I will say I do have a service I will be offering, but when it’s ready is when I’ll post it.
In the meantime, thanks for being here.
I have faith you’ll stick around!
Love,
Jorden.
